Starting Week 5

Tuesday began my fifth week at the SugarPlum Cake Shop and in the bakery we're affectionately calling this 'the crazy week'. I spent the first half of Tuesday leveling 91 cakes...yes I counted, and then I spent the second half of the day layering and crumb coating them but I only managed to get to about half of the cakes. I then started the whole process again on Wednesday layering up and crumb coating the rest of the 33 tiers. Then James came to my rescue and we spent the second half of the day finishing up the second coats and making them look smooth and perfect. Tomorrow we'll finally get to cover the cakes and I know it will be another long one so I'll get lots of rest tonight and start tomorrow bright and early.
